Always Learning new and better ways to support deserving children in Uganda.

Supporting children in poverty is and has always been at the core of our worksince inceptionat El-Shaddai Charitable Trust. We consistently desire to improve how we make an impact — we’ve fostered a spirit of innovation from the beginning in how we implement the support programmes to ensure optimal utilisation of resources to generate the greatest impact possible.

We’re still growing and learning, we’ve always welcomed children and supporters of all nationalities and faiths to change the lives of children in Uganda through our programs. Here’s how.

Child Sponsorship Program.

We model the Child Sponsorship Program in a manner that allows the child to connect with their sponsor as we realised this builds perspective of the child about the possibilities possible and encourages their growth to do and be better.

Working with families

We understood from the outset that it’s important to fight poverty among families where children come from through economic empowerment and skills training. We understood that economic empowerment of families enables them to actively participate in the development of their children, ensuring that they are feed, sheltered and provided medical care when need arises.

Partner with School.

Because helping an individual child only goes so far, we partner with right schools to ensure development of our beneficiary children is well supported. We emphasise a focus on the development of all spheres of child life— not just physical needs, but emotional and social ones, as well.

Accountability Initiative measures

We understand that our sponsors  want to know their donations are  being well spent, so we created a Code of Fundraising Ethics: our continuing promise that we will conduct ourselves with accountability, integrity, stewardship and honesty.
